Antispam on Office 365 ?

Do you need an antispam system when you migrate to Office 365? That's the question and we will try to answer it.

By default Office 365 uses a basic mail scanning system called Exchange Online Protection (EOP) to find SPAM.
All mails are not scanned, only the incoming mail from external providers are filtered.

What does it mean?

Outgoing and internal mails are not filtered by Exchange Online Protection.
You can be spammed by others Microsoft O365 users.
You can also be blacklisted because one of your users is infected and sending SPAM.

With EOP, Office 365 doesn't protect against threats in email attachments, such as crypto-locker for example.

EASI offers an antispam protection against malware, phishing, etc.

Why combine O365 to ASaaS of EASI?

  • Your protection will be reinforced.
  • ASaaS from EASI offers you a mail retention system.

This will ensure your mails will be delivered also if your mailbox on O365 is not available.
