On Tuesday 21 September, the Great Place to Work Institute held a ceremony to nominate the best employers in Europe. EASI grabbed the 4th place and retained its status as the best Belgian employer at European level in its category.

On the right track

Jean-François Herremans and Thomas Van Eeckhout, both CEOs of EASI, are delighted with the result. "We are very honored by this recognition. We are all starting to emerge from a rather challenging period, and this fourth place is further proof that we are on the right track and that we have managed to keep the trust and respect of our employees. It is thanks to them that we have managed to get through this particular period without too much impact on our business," explains Jean-François Herremans.

Unchanged DNA

As the coronavirus pandemic enters its second year, we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. While the health crisis didn't have a too big impact on EASI's bottom line, it has brought about a number of changes.

"Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have hired some 130 new employees, and we are pleased to see that we have been able to pass on to all of them the values that characterize us and maintain the DNA of our company: transparency, responsibility, positivism and respect. We count on these values to guide us on the path of growth", adds Thomas Van Eeckhout.

"We had the chance to get together 2 weeks ago for our annual Recognition Trip. What a pleasure it was to see that our company's DNA has not changed and to be able to share this moment with our colleagues, whether they are new or more senior", concludes Jean-François.

International recognition

In order to identify and rank the organizations on the Best Workplaces in Europe list, Great Place to Work surveys employees of its partner organizations. Employees, not just managers, answer more than 60 questions about their sense of confidence and well-being, as well as their perception of workplace culture. Great Place to Work programs impact more than one million employees in more than 1,500 companies in 36 countries across Europe. The best of these were ranked at the national level, and we selected the top 150 across the region.
