How EASI calculates Availability

EASI foresees an availability of 99,75% of the Cloud2be infrastructure. The past few years however, we were able to provide our Cloud-services 100% of the time.

If we do not reach an availability of 99,75%, you as a customer, are entitled for financial compensation. The way we calculate the availability of our Cloud-services is, to say the least, rather unique on the market...

Most Cloud providers calculate the availability on a yearly base. EASI calculates the availability on a monthly base, and that makes a huge difference!

Suppose, just suppose, Cloud2be is unavailable for 8 hours in August 2016. This means we have an availability of only 98,92% for this month. Since this is below our target of 99,75%, we need to pay penalties according to the contract.

Other providers will calculate the availability on a yearly bases. If for the whole year, there is an outage of 8 hours, the availability would be 99,91% for the whole year. Since this figure is above 99,75% there is no reason to pay any penalty.

So you see, there is a big difference in exactly how the availability is calculated. We maintain the formula that gives the best guarantees for the customer because we at EASI work hard to keep the highest level of availability for you.

Gives you something to think about, doesn't it?
