Demands for XML output are increasing in IT departments. Read here how you can ensure the work for your electronic invoicing is already halfway through without you having to do anything extra for it.

Spool Files

Unlike other software on the IBM i which uses XML files with data from databases, Whiz-XML uses spool files. With this spool files they send the print job to the IBM i.

A spool file is a readable invoice and therefore contains all the information needed for an XML. This means that all the necessary information is already completely available.

Set-up

When the demand for XML output comes up, it is nice to be able to say that the work is already halfway through without you having to do anything. Prepare for this situation once.

Within a few hours you can create a model with the variables from the spool file. These are then merged with an XML template stored in the Integrated File System (IFS).

User-friendly

Every standard for drawing up invoices or order forms (UBL, eFactura, SETU, etc.) is supported.

In addition, users of the document management program Whiz-DOC (formerly Quick-Press) can, by changing one parameter, send this XML with a formatted PDF by e-mail.

Conversely, an incoming XML can be converted to a spool file and thus be readable, formatted, printed or saved as a PDF file.

The next step is in the ascenders. Whiz-Tec has announced to launch the new module for reading an incoming XML into your IBM i Databases in October.
