Following the approval of a draft law extending electronic invoicing to domestic B2B transactions, companies will progressively be required to exchange structured electronic invoices through a compliant framework. The first milestone arrives sooner than many organizations realize. The real question is no longer if your business will be concerned. It's when you'll be ready. And the good news is simple: Easi already is. ## Peppol: from B2G obligation to B2B standard Peppol, which stands for Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line, has become the reference framework for exchanging structured electronic documents across Europe. The upcoming B2B reform builds on this existing infrastructure and on the European EN 16931 standard, making Peppol the natural choice for businesses preparing for the next phase of digital invoicing. ## The full timeline  | **Date ** | **What happens** | | --- | --- | | 2022 | Peppol e-invoicing becomes mandatory for **large companies** invoicing Luxembourg public sector organisations (B2G). | | 18 March 2023 | Peppol e-invoicing becomes mandatory for **all suppliers** invoicing Luxembourg public sector organisations (B2G).  | | 1 January 2028 | All Luxembourg businesses must be able to **receive** compliant electronic invoices for domestic B2B transactions.  | | 1 July 2028 | **Medium-sized and large companies** must issue electronic invoices for domestic B2B transactions.  | | 1 January 2029 | The obligation to issue electronic invoices extends to **all businesses**, including SMEs and micro-enterprises.  | ## Why act now?
