Safe2be CRS + RBS, a good combination for disaster recovery

Many customers decided to externalize their backups to guarantee data loss (RPO) ... but neglected the data recovery (RTO) part.
Why ? Because the recovery solutions are often considered as being expensive or difficult to setup.

Reaching the RPO/RTO required by your business, by your supplier or by your customers is our expertise.
Did you consider the combination of 2 standard EASI solutions?

Whilst our customers probably know our standard Safe2be solutions, it does not always come to their minds that they may combine those to fit their business needs... and budget.

The RBS and CRS might be the 2 pieces of the puzzle matching your needs:

  • RBS - Remote Backup Services - you are able to externalize the data and VMs you need based on your RPO policy.
  • CRS - Cold Recovery Services - you are able to restart the data and VMs in hours thanks to the backups previously externalized via RBS for example.

As the solutions offer a lot of granularity, you only have to decide which subset of your services and servers are included in your Disaster Recovery Plan and in your yearly tests. In this matter, the budget can fit your needs!

The biggest advantage of using these 2 pieces is the ability to decrease the time to restore. In fact, the backups are already available where the restore has to be executed.
With RBS and CRS, now you have everything in hand to activate it, everything is ready to start the restore!  You do not need to, firstly rush to your backups and secondly to the site where you expect to restore the data (and maybe facing compatibility issues).

You think those 2 pieces are not enough?

You can even go for a QRS - Quick Recovery Services - for your critical services with RPO/RTO needs close to minutes.
With this solution, replication tools are deployed to quickly switch a subset of your services with High Availability to Safe2be.
