Sharing is in the DNA at EASI. Last week, we donated to flood victims in our own country and donated a whole bunch of furniture to a school in Kinshasa.

Compassion

Our sympathy goes out to all those affected by the devastating floods that followed in recent weeks. Both the human and material damage is enormous.

Action

Therefore, EASI made it possible for its employees to make a donation to the Red Cross. This organization identifies all the needs on the ground and directs the volunteers there to support the residents in the affected regions.

So far, our colleagues have already collected almost 2,000 euros in donations. EASI ensures that the full amount is transferred.

Reallocating Furniture

Before the merciless storm hit, we also recently had a lot of furniture to give. We moved our site in Oosterzele to new offices in Gent. For the items that could not move with us to the new offices, we looked for a new owner who could give them a new life.

Thus, through one of our own employees, we ended up with the organization Laïcité et Humanisme en Afrique centrale.

This non-profit organization focuses on support for education, culture and community. They help locally by strengthening the capacities of partners who share the same mission, and they offer support and resources to local projects that contribute to the emancipation of women and men and the promotion of human and citizens' rights.

So our furniture was loaded a while ago and in the meantime it has been shipped to "Maison de la Laïcité", a public school in Kinshasa. We already received these pictures from them.
