For several years, electronic exchanges have been steadily growing, but 2025 marks a real turning point. The last quarter was particularly striking: in December, nearly 135,000 documents were processed - a 90% increase compared to November, setting a historic record.
After just 10 days in January, we have already processed 75,000 documents, confirming that the upward trend continues. Despite this exceptional growth, Adfinity maintained stable and reliable performance, demonstrating its ability to absorb peak loads without any impact on its customers.
Our exchanges are primarily based on Belgian identifiers, with two codes clearly standing out:
These two identifiers are essential, as any VAT‑registered company is required to provide both in order to remain compliant. Other identifiers are less common but equally important:
In summary: our platform handles all these formats seamlessly, ensuring full compatibility with legal requirements and operational needs.
Most of our exchanges are incoming (inbound), accounting for approximately 72% of documents, compared to 28% outgoing (outbound). Why this difference? Part of the outgoing flows relates to B2C transactions, which are processed through different channels and are therefore not included here.
Simply put, we handle significant volumes in both directions, with the same level of reliability and without compromising performance.
In 2025, Belgium represents 82% of exchanges, compared to 18% for Luxembourg. This marks a significant change compared to 2024, when the distribution was more balanced (68% Belgium / 32% Luxembourg).
This growth is driven by the acceleration of regulatory requirements in Belgium, which has led to widespread adoption of electronic exchanges. Our platform adapts seamlessly to these changes, without impacting service quality, regardless of the country.
Our platform goes beyond standard invoices and supports several key document types used in electronic exchanges, helping streamline processes and ensure compliance:
By managing these various formats, we provide a complete, interoperable solution, aligned with market standards and the needs of your business.
In 2025, we dedicated nearly 500 working days to further developing and securing our solution. This investment reflects our commitment to continuously improving Adfinity, integrating regulatory changes, fixing issues, and strengthening key processes.
