Microsoft has recently announced several changes that can impact both partners and customers.

Here’s a detailed overview of these changes:

1. M365 Copilot Now Available for Monthly Billing

Great news for those looking for more flexible billing options! Microsoft 365 Copilot is now available for monthly billing.

This change allows you to manage your cash flow more effectively by spreading out payments rather than committing to an annual subscription upfront.

2. 5% Price Increase for Annual Subscriptions with Monthly Billing

Starting from April 1, 2025, there will be a 5% price increase for annual subscriptions that are billed monthly. This adjustment reflects the added flexibility and administrative costs associated with monthly billing cycles.

We recommend evaluating your subscription plans to determine the most cost-effective option for your organization.

3. Price Increases for Power BI and Teams Phone

Microsoft has also announced price increases for Power BI and Teams Phone, effective immediately

  • Teams Phone: The price will increase to $10 per user per month. Additionally, monthly subscriptions will be 5% higher than annual subscriptions.
  • Power BI Pro: The new price is $14 per user per month, with monthly subscriptions also 5% higher.
  • Power BI Premium: The price will rise to $24 per user per month, with a similar 5% increase for monthly billing.

These changes are part of Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to enhance the value and capabilities of their services. We encourage you to review your current usage and consider the benefits these tools bring to your business operations.

4. Price Changes for Windows Server and SQL Server in SPLA

For those utilizing Windows Server and SQL Server under the Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA), there are notable price adjustments as from the 1st of January 2025:

  • Windows Server: Both the Standard Edition and Datacenter Edition will see a 10% price increase.
  • SQL Server: Prices for all on-premises editions, including Enterprise, Standard, and Web, will also rise by 10%.

These increases reflect the continuous improvements and support provided by Microsoft for these critical infrastructure components.
